The information received from Member States pursuant to Economic and Social Council resolution 2008/25 provided an overview of various initiatives that were undertaken or are under way at the national, regional and international levels to deal effectively with illicit international trafficking in forest products, including timber, wildlife and other forest biological resources.
69- قدّمت المعلومات الواردة من الدول الأعضاء عملا بقرار المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي 2008/25 عرضا عاما لمختلف المبادرات التي اتُخِذت أو يجري اتخاذها على الصُعد الوطني والإقليمي والدولي من أجل التصدي بفعالية للاتجار الدولي غير المشروع بالمنتجات الحرجية، بما فيها الأخشاب والأحياء البرّية وسائر الموارد الأحيائية الحرجية.

Poland also mentioned its participation in the FLEGT scheme and in the Europe and North Asia Forest Law Enforcement and Governance Ministerial Process (whose aim was to curb illicit international trafficking in forest products, including timber), as well as its membership in the International Tropical Timber Organization.

These measures include enhancing bilateral, regional and international cooperation with a view to promoting international trade in forest products from sustainably managed forests and enhancing cooperation to address illicit international trafficking in forest products through the promotion of forest law enforcement and good governance at all levels (ibid., paras. 1 (c) and 7 (g)-(i)).
