The Commission on the Status of Women in its agreed conclusions on " Eradicating poverty, including through the empowerment of women throughout their life cycle in a globalizing world " stressed the importance of mainstreaming a gender perspective into the preparations, work and outcome to emanate from the Second World Assembly on Ageing.
