The Secretariat was of the view that such dissemination would be in line with the spirit of inclusiveness that characterized the negotiation process of the Convention and its Protocols and with the already stated objective of the General Assembly and the Conference of the Parties of promoting the universal nature of the instruments and striving to achieve universal adherence to the Convention and its Protocols.
فكان من رأيها أن تعميمه سيكون منسجما مع روح الشمول التي ميّزت عملية التفاوض على الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها، ومع الهدف الذي سبق للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر الأطراف أن أعلناه وهو تعزيز الطبيعة العالمية المميزة لهذه الصكوك والسعي لتحقيق الانضمام العالمي إلى الاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها.

His delegation believed that the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) should continue to be concerned exclusively with promoting international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space and that the First Committee of the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament were the competent multilateral forums for consideration of the disarmament aspects of outer space.
وإن وفد بلده يؤمن بضرورة مواصلة لجنة استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في اﻷغراض السلمية الاهتمام على وجه الحصر بتعزيز التعاون الدولي في الاستخدامات السلمية للفضاء الخارجي، وان اللجنة اﻷولى للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح هما المنتديان المتعددا اﻷطراف المعنيان بدراسة جوانب نزع السلاح في الفضاء الخارجي.

It is sold in United Nations bookshops to subscribers and non-subscribers, with several hundred copies sold of each edition. An additional copy is distributed to each delegation participating in the work of the First Committee of the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament.
كما تباع في متاجر بيع كتب الأمم المتحدة إلى المشتركين وغير المشتركين حيث يتم بيع مئات من نسخ كل طبعة، وتوزَّع نسخة إضافية على كل وفد يشارك في أعمال اللجنة الأولى التابعة للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح.

Some delegations further expressed the view that consideration of the prevention of an arms race in outer space by the First Committee of the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament should not prevent the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space from also considering related issues.
وأعرب بعض الوفود كذلك عن رأي مفاده أن نظر اللجنة الأولى التابعة للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح في مسألة الحيلولة دون حصول سباق نحو التسلح في الفضاء الخارجي لا ينبغي أن يمنع لجنة استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في الأغراض السلمية من أن تنظر أيضا في المسائل ذات الصلة.

30- وأبدي رأي مفاده أن اللجنة أنشئت حصرا من أجل ترويج التعاون الدولي على استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في الأغراض السلمية وأن من الأنسب تناول جوانب الفضاء الخارجي ذات الصلة بنـزع السلاح في محافل أخرى كاللجنة الأولى التابعة للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح.

35. The view was expressed that the Committee had been created exclusively to promote international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space and that disarmament aspects of outer space were more appropriately dealt with in other forums, such as the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament.
35- ورئي أن اللجنة أنشئت حصرا من أجل تعزيز التعاون الدولي على استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في الأغراض السلمية وأنه من الأنسب أن تعالج جوانب الفضاء الخارجي المتصلة بنـزع السلاح في محافل أخرى، للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح.

(d) The Commission should make efforts to strengthen dialogue with other bodies of the disarmament machinery of the United Nations, that is, the First Committee of the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament;
(د) تبذل الهيئة جهودا من أجل تعزيز الحوار مع الهيئتين الأخريين في آلية الأمم المتحدة لنزع السلاح، أي اللجنة الأولى للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح؛

(d) The Commission should make efforts to strengthen dialogue with other bodies of the disarmament machinery of the United Nations, that is, the First Committee of the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament;

The view was expressed that in order to maintain the peaceful nature of space activities and prevent the placement of weapons in outer space, it was essential for the Committee to enhance its cooperation and coordination with other bodies and mechanisms of the United Nations system, such as the First Committee of the General Assembly and the Conference on Disarmament.
48- وأُبدي رأي مفاده أنَّ الحفاظ على الطابع السلمي للأنشطة الفضائية ومنع وضع أسلحة في الفضاء الخارجي يقتضيان من اللجنة أن تعزِّز تعاونها وتنسيقها مع سائر هيئات منظومة الأمم المتحدة وآلياتها، مثل اللجنة الأولى للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح.

49- ورأى أحد الوفود أنَّ اللجنة إنما أُنشئت حصراً لتعزيز التعاون الدولي على استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في الأغراض السلمية وأنَّ من الأنسب أن تُعالَج مسائل نـزع السلاح في محافل أخرى، كاللجنة الأولى للجمعية العامة ومؤتمر نزع السلاح.
