Mr. ZACKLIN (Director, Office of Legal Affairs) introducing a memorandum by the Secretary-General on the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations (A/C.5/49/58), explained that the Executive Chairman of the Special Commission established under Security Council resolution 687 (1991) was not a staff member of the United Nations but devoted most of his time to the work of the Commission.
٤ - السيد زاكلين )مدير مكتب الشؤون القانونية(: قدم المذكرة التي أعدها اﻷمين العام عن اتفاقية امتيازات اﻷمم المتحدة وحصاناتها )A/C.5/49/58(، فأوضح أن الرئيس التنفيذي للجنة الخاصة المنشأة بموجب قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٦٨٧ )١٩٩١( ليس موظفا في اﻷمم المتحدة ولكنه يكرس معظم وقته لعمل اللجنة.

It has also joined the international community in the implementation of resolutions relevant to international legality and related commitments. Bahrain is the host country for the Field Office of the Special Commission established under Security Council resolution 687 (1991) and has provided the Office with all the facilities needed for the successful performance of its duties.
كما شاركت المجتمع الدولي في تنفيذ قرارات الشرعية الدولية والالتزامات المترتبة عليها، وهي بذلك تستضيف المكتب الميداني للجنة الخاصة المنشأة بموجب قرار مجلس اﻷمن ٦٨٧ )١٩٩١( وقدمت كافة التسهيلات التي تمكنه من أداء عمله وإنجاح مهمته.
