A. Raise awareness of the potential of space-based information for disaster Risk Reduction and emergency response
ألف- إذكاء الوعي بإمكانات استخدام المعلومات الفضائية للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث والاستجابة في حالات الطوارئ

Experts from the International Centre for Drought Risk Reduction, the Sudan Remote Sensing Authority and the Regional Centre for Mapping of Resources for Development opened the discussion by sharing information about their experiences.
وافتتح المناقشةَ خبراءٌ من المركز الدولي للحدِّ من مخاطر الجفاف والهيئة السودانية للاستشعار عن بعد والمركز الإقليمي لرسم خرائط الموارد لأغراض التنمية، فتقاسموا المعلومات عن تجاربهم.

3. The United Nations/Germany Expert Meeting on the Use of Space-based Information for Flood and Drought Risk Reduction was conducted on the premises of the United Nations in Bonn, Germany, on 5 and 6 June 2014.
3- وكان اجتماعُ الخبراء المشترك بين الأمم المتحدة وألمانيا بشأن استخدام المعلومات الفضائية للحدِّ من مخاطر الفيضانات والجفاف قد عُقد في مبنى الأمم المتحدة في بون بألمانيا خلال يومي 5 و6 حزيران/يونيه 2014.

4. The United Nations/Germany Expert Meeting on the Use of Space-based Information for Flood and Drought Risk Reduction was conducted as part of the outreach activities contemplated in the UN-SPIDER workplan for the biennium 2014-2015.
4- عُقد اجتماع الخبراء المشترك بين الأمم المتحدة وألمانيا بشأن استخدام المعلومات الفضائية للحدِّ من مخاطر الفيضانات والجفاف في إطار أنشطة التواصل المتوخَّاة في خطة عمل برنامج سبايدر لفترة السنتين 2014-2015.

41. The fourth session was used to discuss the way forward, especially in view of the ongoing efforts to develop the post-2015 framework for disaster Risk Reduction, which will be officially launched at the upcoming Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction.
41- واستُخدمت الجلسة الرابعة لمناقشة كيفية المضي قُدماً، لا سيما بالنظر إلى الجهود الجارية بشأن وضع إطار العمل لما بعد عام 2015 للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث، الذي سيدشَّن رسميًّا خلال المؤتمر العالمي للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث المُقبل.

44. Participants also prepared a two-page document for stakeholders participating in the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction that contained key messages on the use of space-based applications.
44- وأعدَّ المشاركون أيضاً وثيقةً من صفحتين لأصحاب المصلحة المشاركين في المؤتمر العالمي الثالث للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث متضمِّنةً رسالتين رئيسيتين عن استخدام التطبيقات الفضائية.

(a) To become aware of recent advances in the use of space-based information in flood and drought Risk Reduction;
(أ) الوعي بما أُحرز مؤخَّراً من تقدُّم في استخدام المعلومات الفضائية للحدِّ من مخاطر الفيضانات والجفاف؛

(e) To share their experiences and provide their suggestions and recommendations regarding the use of space-based information in flood and drought Risk Reduction.
(ه) التشارك في تجاربهم وتقديم اقتراحاتهم وتوصياتهم بشأن استخدام المعلومات الفضائية للحدِّ من مخاطر الفيضانات والجفاف.

58. In the context of the Third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and the post-2015 framework for disaster Risk Reduction, the following recommendations were highlighted:
58- في سياق المؤتمر العالمي الثالث للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث وإطار العمل لما بعد عام 2015 للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث، جرى التركيز على التوصيات التالية:

This section also includes a description of the global post-2015 disaster Risk Reduction framework, which will become effective as of March 2015.
ويتضمَّن هذا القسم أيضاً وصفاً لإطار العمل العالمي لما بعد عام 2015 للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث الذي سيصبح فعَّالاً اعتباراً من آذار/مارس 2015.

The international meeting in 2014, the United Nations/Germany Expert Meeting on the Use of Space-based Information for Flood and Drought Risk Reduction, successfully prepared certain issues for the upcoming third World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction, to be held in Sendai, Japan, in 2015.
ونجح الاجتماع الدولي المعقود في عام 2014، وهو اجتماع الخبراء المشترك بين الأمم المتحدة وألمانيا بشأن استخدام المعلومات المستمدة من الفضاء للحدِّ من مخاطر الفيضانات والجفاف، في إعداد قضايا معيَّنة للمؤتمر العالمي الثالث المعني بالحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث المقرَّر عقده في سنداي، اليابان، في عام 2015.

(e) There is longstanding recognition of the importance of having national strategies for disaster Risk Reduction.
(ﻫ) هناك اعتراف قديم العهد بأهمية امتلاك استراتيجيات وطنية للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث.

The mission served to evaluate the current and potential use of space-based information in all aspects of disaster management in Viet Nam and strengthen disaster risk management in the country by providing better access to space-based information for disaster Risk Reduction and response.
وأجرت البعثة تقييماً للاستخدام الحالي والممكن لاستخدام المعلومات الفضائية في جميع جوانب إدارة الكوارث في فييت نام، وعزَّزت إدارة مخاطر الكوارث في البلد بتحسين إمكانية الوصول إلى المعلومات الفضائية اللازمة للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث والتصدِّي لها.

UN-SPIDER was represented at the fourth session of the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction, held in Geneva from 20 to 24 May 2013.
٣٣- وكان برنامج سبايدر ممثَّلاً في الدورة الرابعة للمحفل العالمي للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث، التي عُقدت في جنيف من 20 إلى 24 أيار/مايو 2013.

12. To provide continuity to the ongoing efforts targeting disaster Risk Reduction worldwide, the General Assembly, in its resolution 66/199, requested the secretariat of the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction to facilitate the development of a post-2015 framework for disaster Risk Reduction.
12- وبغية إضفاء الاستمرارية على الجهود المبذولة حاليًّا في سبيل الحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث على الصعيد العالمي، طلبت الجمعية العامة في قراراها 66/199 من أمانة الاستراتيجية الدولية للحدِّ من الكوارث أن تيسِّر إعداد إطار للحدِّ من مخاطر الكوارث لما بعد عام 2015.
