The Collaborative Partnership on Forests Framework, 2003, which will be available at the third session of the Forum as an information document (E/CN.18/2003/INF.1), highlights a number of initiatives that have considerably strengthened cooperation and policy and programme coordination among its members.

The Collaborative Partnership on Forests Framework papers presented to the United Nations Forum on Forests sessions also provide information on the implementation of the proposals for action addressed to the member organizations of the Partnership, as well as information on support provided to countries in the overall implementation of the proposals for action.

17. The Partnership established an informal Collaborative Partnership on Forests Network in March 2002 to facilitate cooperation, interface and communication with a wide range of other partners.9 The Network currently has about 100 members, consisting of a range of groups that contribute to sustainable forest management through their experience, resources and perspectives.
