The provisions of the present Protocol do not affect the obligations of States Parties to the four Geneva Conventions of 12 August 1949 and their Additional Protocols of 8 June 1997, or the possibility for any State Party to authorize the International Committee of the Red Cross to visit places of detention in situations not covered by international humanitarian law.
4- لا تؤثر أحكام هذا البروتوكول على التزامات الدول الأطراف باتفاقيات جنيف الأربع المؤرخة في 12 آب/أغسطس 1949 وبروتوكوليها الإضافيين المؤرخين في 8 حزيران/يونيه 1977، ولا على إمكانية أن تأذن أي دولة طرف للجنة الدولية للصليب الأحمر بزيارة أماكن الاحتجاز في الحالات غير المشمولة بالقانون الإنساني الدولي.
