Saudi Arabia has established the Space Research Institute at the King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology, whose aim is to promote the transfer, development and adaptation to local conditions of space technology for the purpose of developing human and natural resources in conformity with the country’s ambitious development plans.
وقد أنشأت المملكة معهد بحوث الفضاء في مدينة الملك عبد العزيز للعلوم والتقنية ، الذي يهدف الى تعزيز نقل تكنولوجيا الفضاء وتطويرها وتكييفها وفقا للظروف المحلية ، وذلك لغرض تنمية الموارد البشرية والطبيعية لكي تتماشى مع الخطط التنموية الطموحة للمملكة .

In this connection, coordination has been intensified among educational institutions that care for gifted children, and the Ministry of Education and King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology have stepped up their cooperation on the implementation of the project to test and care for gifted children. The private sector has also made tremendous efforts to support the welfare of gifted children.
235- وفي هذا الإطار قد تم تكثيف الجهود بين المؤسسات التربوية ذات العلاقة لرعاية الموهوبين، وتم التعاون بين وزارة التربية والتعليم ومدينة الملك عبد العزيز للعلوم والتقنية لتبني مشروع لاكتشاف الموهوبين ورعايتهم، كما أن للقطاع الخاص جهوداً كبيرة في دعم جهود العناية بالموهوبين.

King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, represented by the Space Research Institute, has signed a memorandum with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) of the United States of America resulting in:

(a) Recognition of the Lunar and Near-Earth Object Science Centre in King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology as an affiliate partner of the NASA Lunar Science Institute;
(أ) انضمام مركز تميّز أبحاث القمر والأجرام القريبة من الأرض التابع لمدينة الملك عبد العزيز للعلوم والتقنية إلى معهد ناسا لأبحاث القمر؛

16. The fifth Regional Workshop on the Use of Space Technology for Disaster Management, held in Saudi Arabia, was organized jointly by the Office for Outer Space Affairs, the Space Research Institute of the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Space Imaging Middle East.
