Accordingly, I wish to inform you that I have appointed the following experts to serve on the Panel:

In paragraph 5 of resolution 1395 (2002), the Council requested that I appoint, in consultation with the Committee established by paragraph 14 of resolution 1343 (2001), no more than five experts to serve on the Panel.

21 - عقب اتخاذ مجلس الأمن القرار 2138 (2014) في 13 شباط/فبراير، عيَّن الأمين العام في 21 آذار/مارس 2014، خمسة أشخاص للعمل في الفريق (انظر S/2014/206) ذوي خبرة في المجالات التالية: الأسلحة، الطيران، الآلية، القانون الإنساني الدولي، والمسائل الإقليمية.

It is imperative that the parties ensure that the experts nominated and appointed to serve on the Panel and its committees (as well as the other assessment panels) have the necessary financial backing of the relevant Governments or organizations to which they are affiliated.
ومن المهم أن تضمن الأطراف حصول الخبراء المرشحين والمعينين للعمل في الفريق ولجانه (فضلاً عن أفرقة التقييم الأخرى) على الدعم المالي اللازم من الحكومات أو المنظمات التي ينتمي إليها كل واحد منهم.

On 20 April 2012, the Secretary-General appointed the following experts to serve on the Panel: Lipika Majumdar Roy Choudhury (India, Coordinator, finance expert), Issa Maraut (France, regional expert), Brian Johnson-Thomas (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, arms expert), Mohammad Al-Omari (Jordan, aviation expert) and Rania El-Rajji (Lebanon, international humanitarian law expert).

On 1 April 2013, the Secretary-General appointed the following experts to serve on the Panel: Issa Maraut (France, Coordinator and regional expert), Luis Ángel Benavides Hernández (Mexico, international humanitarian law expert), Guido Potters (Netherlands, aviation expert), Ghassan Schbley (United States of America, finance expert) and Adrian Wilkinson (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, arms expert).
