13. On 14 and 15 July, the Special Rapporteur participated in an expert seminar on the duty to investigate after attacks in situations of armed conflict and armed violence, organized in Lucens, Switzerland, by the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

From 23 to 25 February 2014, the Special Rapporteur participated in an expert seminar on the theme " The right to privacy in the digital age " , hosted by the Permanent Missions of Austria, Brazil, Germany, Liechtenstein, Mexico, Norway and Switzerland in Geneva, and facilitated by the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, in Geneva.

3. From 17 to 19 April 2013, the Special Rapporteur participated in a Wilton Park conference on drone strikes under international law, held in association with the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Reference is made to the report of the High Commissioner on the implementation of Human Rights Council resolution S-21/1, including on measures taken with regard to ensuring accountability for the serious violations of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem (see para. 109 below).

On 25 February he met with professors of the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights concerning the Swiss Initiative to Commemorate the 60th Anniversary anniversary of the Universal of Human Rights, and on 6 March with representatives of the International Commission of Jurists on the World Court on Human Rights.

Taking note of the expert seminar on the rights of peasants and other people working in rural areas held on 8 and 9 April 2014 at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, with the participation of experts from academia, international organizations, civil society, States as observers and other relevant stakeholders,

In accordance with Human Rights Council resolution S-21/1, adopted at its twenty-first special session, the High Commissioner will report to the Council at its twenty-seventh session on the implementation of that resolution, including on measures taken with regard to ensuring accountability for the serious violations of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem.

On 8 November 2012, the Committee held its second thematic discussion on the topic of the responsibility of States and the role of non-State actors, in a closed meeting, with the participation of Professor Andrew Clapham (Professor at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and Director of the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights).
