في 23 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2004، ارتكبت طائرة عسكرية تركية لم يتم التعرف على طرازها ثلاثة انتهاكات للقواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص، على النحو التالي:

As stated in my previous letters, such unauthorized intrusions into the Nicosia flight information region and the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus are in violation of international air traffic rules.
وكما أشرت في رسائلي السابقة، فإن هذه الاقتحامات غير المأذون بها داخل منطقة معلومات الطيران لنيقوسيا والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص تمثل انتهاكا للقواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية.

وفي 22 و 24 تموز/يوليه 2005، دخلت ثلاث طائرات عسكرية تركية: اثنتان من طراز C-130 وواحدة من طراز CN-235، منطقة نيقوسيا لمعلومات الطيران، فارتكبت خمسة انتهاكات للقواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية وثلاثة انتهاكات للمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص، على النحو التالي:

As stated above, such intrusions into the Nicosia flight information region and the national airspace of the Republic of Cyprus are in violation of international air traffic rules.
وكما ورد أعلاه، فإن عمليات خرق منطقة معلومات الطيران لنيقوسيا والمجال الجوي الوطني لجمهورية قبرص تعتبر انتهاكا للقواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية.

As stated in my previous letters, such unauthorized intrusions into the Nicosia flight information region are in violation of international air traffic rules and, at the same time, they are in contravention of the provisions of Security Council resolutions on Cyprus which state that such overflights increase political tension on the island and undermine efforts towards achieving a final settlement.
وحسبما ذكرت في رسائلي السابقة تُعد هذه التدخلات غير المأذون بها في منطقة معلومات الطيران لنيقوسيا انتهاكا للقواعد الدولية للملاحة الجوية وتناقض في الوقت نفسه، أحكام قرارات مجلس اﻷمن بشأن قبرص التي تنص على أن هذه التحليقات من شأنها أن تزيد من حدة التوتر السياسي في الجزيرة وتقوض الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق تسوية نهائية.
