My delegation had the great honour to participate in the preparatory process of the first Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States and in the Conference itself.
لقـــد كـــان لوفـدي عظيم الشرف أن يشارك في العملية التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي اﻷول المعني بالتنمية المستدامة للدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية وفي المؤتمر ذاته.

These include activities like the International Conference on Agrarian Reform and Rural Development conducted with the active participation of the Forum secretariat and indigenous peoples groups, as well as activities like the Latin American regional consultation on the application and use of communication for development and indigenous peoples carried out in preparation for the First World Congress on Communication for Development.
وهي تشمل أنشطة من قبيل المؤتمر الدولي المعني بالإصلاح الزراعي والتنمية الريفية، الذي نُظِّم بمشاركة نشطة من أمانة المنتدى وجماعات الشعوب الأصلية، بالإضافة إلى الأنشطة المنفذة من أجل الإعداد للمؤتمر العالمي الأول المعني بالاتصالات من أجل التنمية، مثل المشاورة الإقليمية لأمريكا اللاتينية المعنية بتطبيق واستخدام الاتصالات من أجل التنمية والشعوب الأصلية.

94. American Samoa participated as an observer in the Preparatory Committee for the Global Conference on the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States, as well as in the Conference itself, which was held in Barbados from 25 April to 6 May 1994.
94 - وشاركت ساموا الأمريكية بصفة مراقب في اللجنة التحضيرية للمؤتمر العالمي الأول المعني بالتنمية المستدامة للدول الجزرية الصغيرة النامية، كما شاركت في المؤتمر نفسه، الذي عقد في بربادوس في الفترة من 25 نيسان/أبريل إلى 6 أيار/مايو 1994.

The Commission will commemorate not only the 10year anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action but also the 30-year anniversary of the First World Conference on Women, held in Mexico in 1975.

The forty-ninth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSU), which would coincide with the tenth anniversary of the adoption of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action and the thirtieth anniversary of the First World Conference on Women, would provide the international community with an opportunity to outline its gender-equality commitments and gender-mainstreaming strategies.
