This year, for the first time in 60 years, we commemorated the tragic anniversary of the Great Famine of 1932-1933 in Ukraine.
وهذا العام، قمنا، وللمرة اﻷولى منذ ٦٠ عاما، بإحياء الذكرى المفجعة للمجاعة الكبرى في أوكرانيا خـــلال الفترة مـــن ١٩٣٢ الى ١٩٣٣.

Recently here at the United Nations, and throughout the world, we observed a sad anniversary of the Great Famine of 1932-1933 in Ukraine -- the Holodomor -- one of the most tragic events in the history of my country and, I believe, in the history of humankind.

I appeal to you on the occasion of the commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 -- the most tragic event in the history of the Ukrainian people.
