3. The report reviews the international legal framework as well as the approach of the mandate to the particular situation of women human rights defenders and those working on women's rights or gender issues.

17- وردا على ما أعربت عنه من قلق إزاء حوادث مثل رجم فتاة حتى الموت، هي عائشة إبراهيم دوهولو، في كيسمايو يوم 27 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، وماجرى مؤخرا من استهداف واغتيال للمدافعات عن حقوق الإنسان وموظفي الأمم المتحدة والصحفيين، أبلغني رئيس الوزراء أنه هو نفسه يحزنه جدا ما حدث في كيسمايو.

She emphasizes that there is no better protection for women defenders than the strength and support of their own movements.
وتؤكد الممثلة الخاصة أنه لا توجد حماية للمدافعات عن حقوق الإنسان أفضل من قوة حركاتهن وتوفير الدعم لها.

The arbitrary detention of human rights defenders and violation of their rights while in detention were further causes for concern; in some cases their physical integrity, or even their lives, were threatened.
