It was gratifying that there was general support for carrying out further deliberations on the draft guidelines for Preparatory Conferences in Arbitral Proceedings. Model laws in international commercial arbitration were of particular importance to developing countries.
٢٥ - وقال إنه يشعر بالارتياح للتوصل الى اتفاق عام فيما يتعلق بالنظر المتعمق في مسألة مشروع المبادئ التوجيهية للمداولات التحضيرية في دعاوى التحكيم نظرا ﻷن القوانين النموذجية في مجال التحكيم التجاري الدولي تتسم بأهمية خاصة بالنسبة للبلدان النامية.

34. With regard to the draft Guidelines for Preparatory Conferences in Arbitral Proceedings, the Austrian delegation was of the view that preparatory conferences could assist those who were not so experienced in using that kind of dispute settlement procedure as they would make the procedure itself predictable.
٣٤ - وفيما يتعلق بمشروع المبادئ التوجيهية للمداولات التحضيرية في دعاوى التحكيم فإن وفد النمسا يرى أنها قد تكون مفيدة لﻷطراف التي ليست لديها خبرة في مجال تسوية المنازعات وذلك عن طريق ازالة أي عنصر من عناصر الشك في إجراء التحكيم.

53. Her delegation welcomed the draft Guidelines for Preparatory Conferences in Arbitral Proceedings elaborated by UNCITRAL, for it viewed international commercial arbitration as an essential institution for the settlement of commercial disputes by alternative means and for progressively achieving uniformity in international trade law.
٥٣ - إن وفد المكسيك يرحب مع الارتياح بمشروع المبادئ التوجيهية للمداولات التحضيرية في دعاوى التحكيم الذي وضعته الاونسيترال ﻷنه يرى أن التحكيم التجاري الدولي يعد ضروريا لتسوية المنازعات التجارية والتوحيد التدريجي للقانون المتعلق بالتجارة الدولية.

40. The Commission had already embarked on a practical evaluation and analysis of the results of the Congress held in 1992, especially the Guidelines for Preparatory Conferences in Arbitral Proceedings, and hoped that it would be possible in 1995 to adopt the final text, which promised to have a far-reaching impact.

Ms. BOUM (Cameroon) said that the most recent UNCITRAL report demonstrated that, as in previous years, the Commission had made progress in 1994 on most of the items on its agenda - procurement of goods, construction and services; electronic data interchange, guarantees and stand-by letters of credit - and had begun consideration of the draft Guidelines for Preparatory Conferences in Arbitral Proceedings.
