37. In view of the massacre that was committed on 25 February 1994 against Palestinian worshippers in the Ibrahimi Mosque at Hebron, the Committee decided to intensify its efforts to promote international action to provide for the protection of Palestinian civilians in the occupied Palestinian territory, including Jerusalem.
٧٣ - ونظرا الى المجزرة التي ارتكبت في ٢٥ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٤ ضد المصلين الفلسطينيين في الحرم الابراهيمي في الخليل، قررت اللجنة أن تكثف جهودها لتعزيز التدابير الدولية الهادفة إلى توفير الحماية للمدنيين الفلسطينيين في اﻷرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس.

Israel also continues to impose frequent, prolonged closures on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and has in particular subjected the Rafah crossing in the Gaza Strip -- the only point of entry and exit for Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip -- to repeated and arbitrary closures, exacerbating the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza and fuelling tensions.
وتواصل إسرائيل أيضا فرض عمليات إغلاق متكررة ومطولة للأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، وقد أخضعت على نحو خاص معبر رفح في قطاع غزة - نقطة الدخول والخروج الوحيدة للمدنيين الفلسطينيين في قطاع غزة - لعمليات إغلاق متكررة وتعسفية، الأمر الذي زاد من تفاقم الحالة الإنسانية المزرية في غزة وغذى التوتر.

14. 14- وأرادت الضمير الإعراب عن شواغلها حيال عدم وجود إجراءات محاكمة عادلة للمدنيين الفلسطينيين في المحاكم العسكرية الإسرائيلية مشيرة ًعلى وجه الخصوص إلى تواتر حالات منع اجتماعات المحامين مع موكـليهم؛ وعدم إتاحة فترات زمنية ومرافق على نحو كافٍ وملائم لإعداد مطالعات الدفاع؛ ورفض حالات إفراج بكفالة(35).
