Political participation by Arab Women is also very limited, even compared to newly industrialized economies or least developed countries, and the number of women appointed to high-ranking government posts or levels with decision-making continues to be among the lowest in the world.
كما أن المشاركة السياسية للمرأة العربية محدودة جداً، حتى عند مقارنتها بالمشاركة السياسية في البلدان ذات الاقتصادات الحديثة التصنيع أو البلدان الأقل نمواً؛ وعدد النساء المعينات في المناصب الحكومية الرفيعة أو في مستويات صنع القرار لا يزال بين الأدنى في العالم.

However, there has been a steady and significant increase in the median educational level within the general Arab population, and when specific age groups are examined, among Arab Women as well: in 1980, the median years of schooling was 6.4 for Arab Women, 7.5 for Arab men, and roughly 11 years for Jewish men and women.
