The Women's Working Service has been in operation since 1996 to provide information and referral for Women on work related issues such as pay and conditions, superannuation, employment and training opportunities, childcare services, harassment and discrimination in the workplace and facilitates re-entry into the workforce.

The Committee decided to recommend to the General Assembly that the annual report of the Administrator of the United Nations Development Fund for Women on the operations, management and budget of the Fund should be allocated to the Second Committee for consideration under item 99 of the draft agenda.

A consultative forum for Women on the constitutional reform process took place in April 2013, with participation from the Law Reform Commission, the Independent National Commission on Human Rights, the Ministry of Gender and Development and the Statutory Committee on Gender and Development, Women and Children, Health and Social Welfare.

Major partnerships include those with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), UNFPA, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and WFP in emergency and post-conflict situations, and with the United Nations Development Fund for Women on sexual and gender-based violence.
