I have been informed that consultations are still going on within the Group of African States, the Group of Asian States, the Group of Latin American and Caribbean States and the Group of Western European and other States on possible candidates for the posts of Vice-Chairmen.
أبلغت بأن المشاورات ما زالت جارية داخل مجموعة الدول الأفريقية ومجموعة الدول الآسيوية ومجموعة دول أمريكا اللاتينية والبحر الكاريبي ومجموعة دول أوروبا الغربية ودول أخرى حول المرشحين المحتملين لمناصب نواب الرئيس.

Thus, bearing in mind that agreement has been reached by the regional groups on the nominations of the candidates for the posts of Vice-Chairmen and Rapporteur, I expect that the Committee would wish to dispense with the nomination of the Bureau and move to elect the proposed candidates as Vice-Chairmen and Rapporteur of the Committee by acclamation.
وتبعا لذلك، ومع مراعاة أن المجموعات الإقليمية قد توصلت إلى اتفاق بشأن المرشحين لمناصب نواب الرئيس والمقرر، أتوقع أن اللجنة قد ترغب في الاستغناء عن ترشيح أعضاء المكتب وتشرع في انتخاب المرشحين المقترحين بصفتهم نوابا للرئيس ومقررا للجنة بالتزكية.

The TEMPORARY PRESIDENT said that he had received the following nominations: Mr. M. Reguieg (Algeria) for the post of President; Mr. R. Nazarahari (Islamic Republic of Iran), Mr. Y. Yakis (Turkey) and Mr. A. Fabijanski (Poland) for the posts of Vice-President; and Ms. P. Klein Ballesteros (Colombia) for the post of Rapporteur.

Bearing in mind that those four candidates for the posts of Vice-Chairperson and Rapporteur have been endorsed and nominated by their respective regional groups unanimously, I expect that the Committee would wish to proceed to elect them by acclamation.

I have been informed that consultations are still ongoing within the Group of Latin America and Caribbean States on possible candidates for the posts of Vice-Chairs.
لقد أبلغت بأن المشاورات ما زالت جارية في مجموعة دول أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي بشأن المرشحين المحتملين لمناصب نواب الرئيس.

1. The Chairman said that, in keeping with the decisions to improve the efficiency and revitalization of the General Assembly, and given that agreement had been reached among regional groups on the nomination of candidates for the posts of Vice-Chairmen and Rapporteur, he took it that the Committee wished to dispense with the nominations and elect the Vice-Chairmen and Rapporteur by acclamation.

5. The Chairman said that the Group of African States, the Group of Asian States and the Group of Eastern European States had nominated, respectively, Mr. Nega (Ethiopia), Mr. Park Chull-joo (Republic of Korea) and Ms. Šurková (Slovakia) for the posts of Vice-Chairmen.

1. The Chair said that Mr. Dosseh (Togo), Ms. Fiodorow (Poland) and Mr. Funes Henríquez (El Salvador) had been nominated by the African States, the Eastern European States and the Latin American and Caribbean States, respectively, for the posts of Vice-Chairs.
