It played active and constructive roles in the work of the 1993 World Conference on Human Rights in Vienna, the 2001 World Conference against Racism in Durban, and the 2009 Durban Review Conference, as well as the United Nations Commission on Human Rights and the United Nations Human Rights Council.

On 23 August 2007, the secretariat sent a list of all NGOs not in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council that participated in the World Conference against Racism in 2001 to Member States, inviting them to send any comments they might have concerning any of these NGOs to the secretariat.

Since 2004, each October the League has been organizing and coordinating the European Week for Action against Racism in Football, an initiative of the Football against Racism in Europe network, which inspired over 250,000 anti-racist initiatives in Europe.
