In conducting its review of all aspects of the scale methodology, the Committee on Contributions also considered the various proposals, suggestions and recommendations contained in the report of the Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Working Group on the Implementation of the Principle of Capacity to Pay and examined them in the context of its comprehensive review of the scale methodology.

The Committee recalled that it had also decided to review the other elements of the scale methodology at its sixty-fifth session, with a view to reaching preliminary conclusions concerning the elements of the methodology for preparing the scale of assessments for the period 2007-2009, in order to assist the General Assembly in considering the question at its sixtieth session.
9 - وأشارت اللجنة إلى أنها قررت أيضا استعراض العناصر الأخرى لمنهجية الجدول في دورتها الخامسة والستين، بغية التوصل إلى استنتاجات أولية فيما يتعلق بعناصر المنهجية اللازمة لإعداد جدول الأنصبة المقررة للفترة 2007-2009، بغرض مساعدة الجمعية العامة على النظر في المسألة في دورتها الستين.

The Committee also decided to review other elements of the scale methodology at its sixty-fifth session with a view to reaching preliminary conclusions concerning the elements of the scale methodology for the preparation of the scale of assessments for the period 2007-2009, in order to assist the General Assembly in considering this question at its sixtieth session.
10 - وقررت اللجنة أيضا أن تستعرض العناصر الأخرى لمنهجية الجدول في دورتها الخامسة والستين بغية التوصل إلى نتائج أولية بشأن عناصر منهجية الجدول المتعلقة بإعداد جدول الأنصبة المقررة للفترة 2007 - 2009، من أجل مساعدة الجمعية العامة في النظر في هذه المسألة في دورتها الستين.

The Committee, noting that the next scale of assessments for the period 1998-2000 was not due to be considered until its fifty-seventh session in 1997, and in consideration of the comprehensive nature of the mandate given to it by the General Assembly, decided to undertake the current comprehensive review of the scale methodology over a period of two sessions.
٨ - وقد لاحظت اللجنة أن جدول اﻷنصبة المقررة المقبل والمتعلق بالفترة ١٩٩٨ - ٢٠٠٠ لن يكون جاهزا للدراسة الى حين حلول دورتها السابعة والخمسين في عام ١٩٩٧، ومن ثم، فقد قررت، في ضوء مراعاة تلك الطبيعة الشاملة التي تتسم بها ولايتها الموكلة اليها من قبل الجمعية العامة، أن تضطلع بالاستعراض الشامل الراهن لمنهجية الجدول في فترة دورتين.
