In particular, the note proposed two elements for a new focus of the Commission: contributing to the follow-up by the Economic and Social Council to the 2005 World Summit outcome in the area of science and technology and assisting the Council in the system-wide follow-up to the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society.

The Working Group will report to the seventeenth session of the Commission, providing an input to the overall review of the WSIS outcomes, based on Economic and Social Council resolution 2013/9 (see para. 15 below) and General Assembly resolution 67/195.

4. The United Nations and international agencies have begun a 10-year review of WSIS outcomes (WSIS+10) to be completed by the General Assembly in 2015, alongside the review of the Millennium Development Goals.
4- وقد بدأت الأمم المتحدة والوكالات الدولية عملية استعراض لنتائج القمة العالمية بعد مضي عشر سنوات، يُتوقَّع أن تستكملها الجمعية العامة في عام 2015، بالتوازي مع استعراض الأهداف الإنمائية للألفية.

When convening the working group, it was also requested that the Chair take into consideration the meetings already scheduled on the calendar of the Commission, and that the working group should report to the Commission at its seventeenth session, in 2014, providing an input to the overall review of the Summit outcomes.
