4. In addition, the General Secretariat of the Central African Customs and Economic Union, taking advantage of the suggestion that it should have observer status with the United Nations, will immediately take the necessary steps with its highest authorities with a view to making an application for such a status in accordance with the required procedures.

The Board also took note that the International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers' Unions, a non-governmental organization with observer status with UNCTAD, merged in July 2012 with the International Metalworkers' Federation to establish the IndustriALL Global Union, which was now based in Geneva.
6- وأحاط المجلس علماً أيضاً بأن الاتحاد الدولي لنقابات عمال الصناعات الكيميائية والطاقة والتعدين والأعمال العامة، وهي منظمة غير حكومية لها مركز المراقب لدى الأونكتاد، اندمج في تموز/يوليه 2012 مع اتحاد عمال المعادن الدولي لإنشاء اتحاد الصناعات العالمي، الذي يقع مقره حالياً في جنيف.

6 - تدعو المنظمات الحكومية الدولية والكيانات التي لها مركز المراقب لدى الجمعية العامة والمنظمات غير الحكومية ذات المركز الاستشاري لدى المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي والأعضاء غير الحكوميين في مجلس تنسيق البرنامج التابع للبرنامج المشترك إلى المشاركة في الاجتماع الرفيع المستوى، حسب الاقتضاء؛

12. Invites intergovernmental organizations and entities that have observer status with the General Assembly, non-governmental organizations in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council, and non-governmental members of the Programme Coordinating Board of the Joint Programme to participate in the high-level meeting, as appropriate;

Expresses its appreciation to the Secretary-General for his comprehensive report on assistance in mine clearance, 3/ and takes note with interest of the proposals contained therein, as well as of the contributions by Member States and bodies that have observer status with the General Assembly, contained in the addendum to the report;
