210. The relationship of a State’s control over a situation to its responsibility for the situation was also an issue before the European Court of Human Rights in Loizidou v Turkey.

14. Turkey has executed the European Court of Human Rights judgement of 28 July 1998 in the case of Loizidou v. Turkey by paying to Mrs. Loizidou the sum which had been awarded to her by the Court as just satisfaction.
