In the case of treaties the subject matter of which involves the implication that they continue in operation, in whole or in part, during armed conflict, the incidence of an armed conflict will not as such affect their operation.

It would be more appropriate and legally sound if the initial right of the party to an armed conflict, namely notification, were limited to treaties other than those the subject matter of which involves the implication that they continue in operation during an armed conflict.
