Let us act to make our international institutions more representative, because if they are more representative they will be stronger, more effective and more respected.
فلنعمل على أن نجعل مؤسساتنا الدولية أكثر تمثيلا، لأنها إذا أصبحت أكثر تمثيلا ستقوى وتزيد فعاليتها وتحظى بمزيد من الاحترام.

It will be a chance for us, the Members of the United Nations, to show that we believe in collective action and that we will shoulder our responsibility for making our international institutions stronger and more effective.
إذ أنهـا ستتيـح لنا، نحـن أعضاء الأمم المتحدة، فرصـة لكي نثبـت إيماننـا بالعمل الجماعي وتحمـُّـلنا لمسؤوليتنا عن جعل مؤسساتنا الدولية أكثر قوة وأكثر فعالية.

Achieving effective change is what matters. In a world where more than a billion people are online, where companies have bigger turnovers than countries and where global non-governmental organizations have memberships that are bigger than national populations, our international institutions must look inwards to internal reform, but also outwards to broader popular movements for change.
في العالم اليوم أكثر من بليون شخص يطرقون الفضاء الإلكتروني وشركات تفوق عائداتها عائدات بلدان كثيرة ومنظمات غير حكومية تفوق عضويتها عدد السكان في بعض البلدان. وعلى مؤسساتنا الدولية والحال كذلك ألا تكتفي بالانكفاء على ذاتها في عملية الإصلاح بل أن تنفتح أيضا على الفضاء الأرحب خارجها لتتواصل مع حركات التغيير الشعبية.

Pandemics such as AIDS, malaria and non-communicable diseases; threats related to terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, human trafficking, the illicit trade in and use of small arms and light weapons and the illicit drug trade; and the risks posed by climate change and the continuing vulnerability of our women and youth all call upon us to deepen our cooperation and strengthen our international institutions.
فالأوبئة مثل الملاريا ونقص المناعة البشرية/الإيدز، والأمراض غير المعدية، والتهديدات المتعلقة بالإرهاب، وأسلحة الدمار الشامل، والاتجار بالبشر، والاتجار غير المشروع بالأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة واستخدامها، والاتجار غير المشروع بالمخدرات، والمخاطر التي يشكلها تغير المناخ، واستمرار ضعف نسائنا وشبابنا، كلها تدعونا إلى تعميق تعاوننا وتعزيز مؤسساتنا الدولية.
