1. Joint crisis initiatives of the United Nations system

In response to the above-identified challenge, the United Nations Office of Sport for Development and Peace, under the leadership of the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General on Sport for Development and Peace, has been instrumental in enhancing cooperation and coordination between initiatives of the United Nations system, Member States, sports federations and organizations, governmental and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
