As a country belonging to a region in which grave violations of international humanitarian law had been committed in recent years, Hungary had welcomed the decision of the Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, to set up ad hoc tribunals for the prosecution of crimes committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia and in Rwanda.

In addition, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, the Council decided that the expert panels, through visits to the countries concerned, would also identify parties aiding and abetting those violations and recommend measures to end such violations and to improve the implementation of the measures imposed against UNITA.

8. The Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, by its resolution 1329 (2000), decided to establish a pool of ad litem judges in ICTY.

The Court has no jurisdiction in respect of crimes for which, even if they have been committed after the entry into force of this Statute, the Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, has decided before the entry into force of this Statute to establish an ad hoc international criminal tribunal.
]٢ - ليس للمحكمة اختصاص فيما يتعلق بالجرائم التي يتخذ مجلس اﻷمن بشأنها، متصرفا بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة، قرارا بإنشاء محكمة جنائية دولية مخصصة قبل بدء نفاذ هذا النظام اﻷساسي. ولا يغير من ذلك أن تكون تلك الجرائم قد ارتكبت بعد بدء نفاذ هذا النظام.

(b) a situation in which one or more of such crimes appears to have been committed is referred to the Prosecutor by the Security Council [acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations]].
أو )ب( إذا أحال مجلس اﻷمن ]متصرفا بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة[ إلى المدعي العام حالة يبدو أنه قد ارتكبت فيها جريمة أو أكثر من هذه الجرائم.[

2. No investigation or prosecution may be commenced or proceeded with under this Statute [for a period of twelve months] after the Security Council[, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations,] has requested the Court to that effect; that request may be renewed by the Council under the same conditions.]
٢ - لا يجوز البدء أو المضي في تحقيق أو مقاضاة بموجب هذا النظام اﻷساسي ]لفترة اثني عشر شهرا[ بعد أن يكون مجلس اﻷمن ]متصرفا بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة[ قد طلب إلى المحكمة عدم البدء أو المضي في تحقيق أو مقاضاة؛ ويجوز للمجلس أن يجدد ذلك الطلب في إطار الشروط ذاتها.[

7. In its resolution 1173 (1998) of 12 June 1998, the Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, decided to expand the measures imposed against UNITA.
٧ - وقرر مجلس اﻷمن في قراره ١١٧٣ )١٩٩٨( المؤرخ ١٢ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٨، متصرفا بموجب الفصل السابع من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة توسيع نطاق التدابير المتخذة ضد يونيتا.

4. The Security Council, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, imposed a regime of sanctions on the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya in resolutions 748 (1992) and 883 (1993).

In 11 October 1991 the Security Council adopted resolution 715 (1991) in which, acting under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, inter alia, it:
