36. 3. The 2004 Government Report to Parliament on the human rights policy of Finland acknowledges indigenous rights and especially the status of indigenous women and girls and the danger of facing multiple discrimination based on both ethnicity and sex.

6. The Committee urges the State party to conduct a study to assess the benefits of and/or barriers to, including the complexity of procedures women face, particularly those suffering multiple discrimination, claiming rights under existing legislation and the extent to which they are adequately compensated.
