Meanwhile, the Lebanese Cabinet announced the reinforcement of the presence of the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces in Beirut.
وفي غضون ذلك، أعلن مجلس الوزراء اللبناني القيام بتعزيز وجود الجيش اللبناني وقوات الأمن الداخلي في بيروت.

On 21 August, the Lebanese Cabinet endorsed the decision to establish diplomatic relations with the Syrian Arab Republic and to open an embassy in Damascus.
وفي 21 آب/أغسطس، أيد مجلس الوزراء اللبناني قرار إقامة علاقات دبلوماسية مع الجمهورية العربية السورية وفتح سفارة في دمشق.

The Lebanese Cabinet reaffirmed that Lebanon's sovereignty was non-negotiable and that no Palestinian arms should be outside the camps.

In December 2008, the Lebanese Cabinet issued a decree to extend the common border force project to the eastern border, and implementation of the project has begun.
وفي كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2008، أصدر مجلس الوزراء اللبناني مرسوما مدد بموجبه مشروع القوة المشتركة لمراقبة الحدود ليشمل الحدود الشرقية، وقد بدأ تنفيذ هذا المشروع.

On 13 October, the Lebanese Cabinet, having unanimously approved the Prime Minister's position, decided to establish such a commission, with the aim of resolving through dialogue the question of Palestinian arms inside the camps.
وفي 13 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، وبعد أن أيد مجلس الوزراء اللبناني بالإجماع موقف رئيس الوزراء، قرر إنشاء تلك اللجنة، بهدف تسوية مسألة الأسلحة الفلسطينية داخل المخيمات عن طريق الحوار.

Despite the continuing dialogue on the issue within Lebanon, Hezbollah has not yet disarmed despite the Lebanese Cabinet decision stipulating that " there will be no weapons or authority in Lebanon other than that of the Lebanese State " .
ورغم الحوار المستمر بشأن هذه المسألة في داخل لبنان، لم ينزع حزب الله سلاحه بعد رغم قرار مجلس الوزراء اللبناني بألا " تكون هناك أي أسلحة أو سلطة في لبنان عدا ما يخص الدولة اللبنانية " ().

20. On 30 August the Council of Ministers of Lebanon denounced the trespassing into Lebanese territory in Deir al-Ashayer, in the eastern Beka'a Valley, of Syrian citizens, reportedly to dig two wells on Lebanese territory.
