Article 54: a term of up to 5 years' imprisonment shall be imposed on any person who:
مادة 54: يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على خمس سنوات كل شخص ارتكب إحدى الجرائم الآتية:

" 2. If the victim is under 18 years of age, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years.
2- وتكون العقوبة بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على خمس عشرة سنة إذا كان عمر المجني عليه أو عليها دون الثامنة عشرة سنة.

" The penalty shall be imprisonment for a term of up to 10 years if the person against whom the offence was committed was under 15 years of age.
وتكون العقوبة السجن مدة لا تزيد على عشر سنين إذا كان من وقعت عليه الجريمة دون الخامسة عشرة سنة كاملة من العمر.

" Any person who commits an act of indecency with a male or female without his or her consent shall be liable to detention for a period of up to 1 year and/or a fine of up to 100 dinars.
من ارتكب مع شخص، ذكراً أو أنثى فعلاً مخلاً بالحياء بغير رضاه أو رضاها يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على سنة وبغرامة لا تزيد على مائة دينار أو بإحدى هاتين العقوبتين

Penalty: Imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 years, not less than 7 years or to a fine not exceeding 3 million shillings or to both fine and imprisonment.
ويعاقب على مخالفة ذلك الحظر بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على 15 سنة ولا تقل عن 7 سنوات أو بغرامة لا تتجاوز 3 ملايين شلن أو بالعقوبتين.

Any public official who, during the course of his duties, uses or orders the use of torture, coercion or threats against an accused person, witness or expert in order to extract a confession or statements or information about an offence shall be subject to a penalty of up to 10 years in prison.
يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على عشر سنوات كل موظف عام عذب أثناء تأدية وظيفته أو استعمل القوة أو التهديد بنفسه

" A penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 7 years shall be imposed on:
يعاقب بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على سبع سنوات:

" Any person sentenced to confinement who absconds from a correctional home shall be liable to detention for a term of up to 1 year or to a fine of not less than 100 dinars and shall then be returned to the home to complete the period of confinement.
كل شخص صدر عليه حكم بالحجز وهرب من دور الإصلاح يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على سنة واحدة أو بغرامة لا تقل عن مائة دينار ثم يعاد إلى الدار لإكمال مدة حجزه.

" Anyone who himself or by means of a third party kidnaps a young person under 18 years of age without the use of force or deception shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years if the person kidnapped is female or imprisonment for up to 10 years if the person kidnapped is male.
من خطف بنفسه أو بواسطة غيره بغير إكراه أو حيلة حدثاً لم يتم الثامنة عشرة من العمر يعاقب بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على خمس عشرة سنة إذا كان المخطوف أنثى أو بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على عشر سنين إذا كان ذكراً.

" If the kidnapping is carried out with the use of force or deception or if any of the aggravating circumstances set out in article 421 obtain, the penalty shall be imprisonment if the person kidnapped is female and imprisonment for a term of up to 15 years if the person is male.
وإذا وقع الخطف بطريق الإكراه أو الحيلة أو توافرت فيه أحد ظروف التشديد المبينة في المادة 421 تكون العقوبة السجن إذا كان المخطوف أنثى والسجن مدة لا تزيد على خمس عشرة سنة إذا كان ذكراً.

" a term of up to 5 years' imprisonment shall be imposed on any person who entices, encourages or helps a male or female below the age of 18 to leave the family home in order to engage in acts of indecency, debauchery or prostitution. "
يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على خمس سنوات كل من أغرى أو شجع أو ساعد طفلاً لم يتم الثامنة عشرة من عمره ذكراً كان أو أنثى على هجر منزل والديه بقصد ممارسة أعمال البغاء أو الفجور أو الدعارة.

" a term of up to 3 years' imprisonment shall be imposed on a parent who knowingly hands over his or her child below 18 years of age for the purpose of the child's exploitation in begging.
يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على ثلاث سنوات الوالد الذي يسلم طفله الذي لم يتم الثامنة عشرة من عمره إلى آخر ليستغله في التسول مع علمه بذلك.

The penalty shall be a term of up to 5 years' imprisonment, if the child handed over is below 10 years of age or has a mental or physical impairment. "
وتكون العقوبة الحبس مدة لا تزيد على خمس سنوات إذا كان من وقع عليه التسليم لم يتم العاشرة من عمره، أو كان ذا عاهة نفسية أو جسدية.

" 1. Detention for a period of up to 3 months and/or a fine of up to 30 dinars shall be imposed on:
1- يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على ثلاثة أشهر وبغرامة لا تزيد على ثلاثين دينارا أو بإحدى هاتين العقوبتين:

Paragraph 2 stipulates that any person entrusted with a child's upbringing by a social welfare home who then neglects the child shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of up to six months or a fine of 20,000 rials.
أما الفقرة ٢، فتقرر أن من أهمل طفلا كان قد عهد إليه بتربيته من قبل دار الرعاية الاجتماعية، يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على ستة أشهر أو بغرامة عشرين ألف ريال.

Whosoever knowingly uses or conspires to use explosives in such a way as to endanger the property of another shall be subject to rigorous imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years.
يعاقب بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على عشر سنوات من استعمل عمدا أو شرع في استعمال المفرقعات استعمالا من شأنه تعريض أموال الغير للخطر.

Whosoever knowingly disturbs another by misuse of cable and wireless communications equipment shall be subject to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months and a fine not exceeding 50 dinars.
يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على ستة أشهر أو بالغرامة التي لا تتجاوز خمسين دينارا من تسبب عمدا في إزعاج غيره بإساءة استعمال أجهزة المواصلات السلكية واللاسلكية.

According to article 249 of the Code: " A penalty of up to five years' imprisonment shall be imposed on anyone who abducts another person.
33- وتنص المادة 249 من القانون على أنه: " يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على خمس سنوات كل من خطف شخصاً.

(ii) Anyone who has served 2 years of his sentence if he was sentenced to a term of not more than 10 years' imprisonment;
`٢` كل من أمضى مدة سنتين من محكوميته إذا كان قد حكم عليه بالسجن مدة لا تزيد على عشر سنوات؛

provided however that the rate in (i) or (ii) above shall apply to no more than five years.
بشرط أن يُطبَّق المعدل المذكور في ' 1` أو ' 2` أعلاه على مدة لا تزيد على خمس سنوات.

Article 246 of the Code stipulates a maximum penalty of three years' imprisonment for anyone who unlawfully arrests, detains or deprives a person of his liberty.
32- وتنص المادة 246 من هذا القانون على أنه: " يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على ثلاث سنوات من قبض على شخص أو حجزه أو حرمه من حريته بأية وسيلة بغير وجه قانوني.

Every person who is one of the persons referred to in article 492 and who commits an indecent act against a minor between 15 and 18 years of age or who induces the minor to commit such an act shall be liable to a term of imprisonment of up to 15 years at hard labour.
كل شخص من الأشخاص الموصوفين في المادة 492 يرتكب بقاصر بين الخامسة عشرة والثامنة عشرة من عمره فعلاً منافياً للحشمة أو يحمله على ارتكابه يعاقب بالأشغال الشاقة مدة لا تزيد على خمس عشرة سنة.

(1) Imprisonment for a period of not more than three years and/or a fine, if the person who prevents or forces the marriage is a first degree relative;
الحبس مدة لا تزيد على 3 سنوات إذا كان من منع الزواج أو أكره عليه قريباً من الدرجة الأولى وكذلك الغرامة أو إحدى هاتين العقوبتين؛

Every person who knowingly works or lives on a regular basis in a house of fornication or prostitution shall be liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than one year.
كل شخص يشتغل أو يقيم عادة في محل للفجور أو الدعارة مع علمه بذلك يعاقب بالحبس مدة لا تزيد على سنة.
