1. Decides to adopt the amendment to the Instrument for the Establishment of the Restructured Global Environment Facility related to the location of meetings of the Council of the Global Environment Facility, as approved by the Third Global Environmental Facility Assembly;

تعديل على صك إنشاء مرفق البيئة العالمية المعدل (المقرر 22/19)

Following the adoption of Agenda 21, the Climate Convention, and the Biological Diversity Convention at the Rio Conference, negotiations to restructure the GEF commenced, culminating in the 1994 adoption of the Instrument for the Establishment of the Restructured Global Environment Facility.
وعقب اعتمـاد جدول أعمال القرن 21 واتفاقية المناخ والاتفاقية المتعلقة بالتنوع البيولوجي في أثناء مؤتمر ريو، بدأت المفاوضات بشأن إعادة هيكلة مرفق البيئة العالمية وتمخضت في عام 1994 عن إعتماد صك لإنشاء مرفق البيئة العالمية المعدل.

15. Welcomes the amendment to the Instrument for the Establishment of the Restructured Global Environment Facility whereby the Facility shall be available to serve as a financial mechanism of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, pursuant to article 20, paragraph 2 (b), and article 21 of the Convention;

Recalling its decision 22/19 of 7 February 2003 on the adoption of amendments to the Instrument for the Establishment of the Restructured Global Environment Facility to include land degradation, primarily desertification and deforestation, and persistent organic pollutants as new focal areas of the Global Environment Facility, as approved by the Second Global Environment Facility Assembly,
وإذ يشير إلى مقرره 22/19 المؤرخ 7 شباط/فبراير 2003 بشأن اعتماد التعديلات على الصك الخاص بإنشاء مرفق البيئة العالمية المعدل لكي يشمل تدهور الأراضي، وبالدرجة الأولى التصحر وإزالة الغابات، والملوثات العضوية الثابتة بوصفها مجالات تركيز جديدة لمرفق البيئة العالمية، على نحو ما أقرته الجمعية الثانية لمرفق البيئة العالمية،
