The Georgian side has elaborated proposals for the status of Abkhazia within the framework of a federal State and transmitted them to the Security Council on 5 March 1996 (S/1996/165).
وقد وضع الجانب الجورجي مقترحات بشأن مركز أبخازيا في إطار دولة اتحادية وأحالها إلى مجلس اﻷمن في ٥ شباط/فبراير ١٩٩٦ (S/1996/165).

3. Reaffirms its commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, within its internationally recognized borders, and to the necessity of defining the status of Abkhazia in strict accordance with these principles, and underlines the unacceptability of any action by the Abkhaz leadership in contravention of these principles;
٣ - يؤكد من جديد التزامه بسيادة جورجيا وسلامتها اﻹقليمية، داخل حدودها المعترف بها دوليا، وكذلك بضرورة تحديد مركز أبخازيا في إطار الالتزام التام بهذه المبادئ، ويشدد على عدم مقبولية أي إجراء مخالف لهذه المبادئ قد تتخذه القيادة اﻷبخازية؛
