Latvia reported on various information campaigns and projects aimed at informing society about the issues of violence against children, including sexual violence.

There is a national strategy on Gender Based Violence (2000-2006) in which issues of violence against women and the girl child are included; Life skill subjects are taught in primary and secondary schools and teachers abusing pupils are interdicted in a bid to eradicate sexual exploitation of the girl child in schools.
