Through two regional projects in Southern Africa, UNODC supports countries in the ratification and implementation of the Organized Crime Convention and, in particular, its Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, Especially Women and Children (General Assembly resolution 55/25, annex II). In Ghana, UNODC started activities to assist the signatories of the Organized Crime Convention.
