11. Currently, there are approximately 30 United Nations information centres headed by a UNDP Resident Representative/Coordinator as a result of an initiative begun in 1992 to integrate United Nations information centres with UNDP field offices.
١١ - ويوجد في الوقت الحالي ٣٠ مركزا من مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام يرأسها الممثل/المنسق المقيم لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي كنتيجة لمبادرة بدأت في عام ١٩٩٢ لدمج مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام مع المكاتب الميدانية لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي.

27. The concerns expressed at the possible adverse impact of the integration of 18 United Nations information centres with UNDP field offices might be allayed if the experience was subjected to an objective evaluation, as proposed in the Secretary-General's report (A/AC.198/1993/7).

Subsequently, the members of the Bureau, having sought the views of their regional and substantive groups on the matter, reported on the consensus among the membership that an important policy issue such as integration of United Nations information centres with field offices of UNDP should first be carefully considered by the Committee before being considered by the General Assembly.
وأفاد أعضاء المكتب، من ثم، بعد أخذ آراء أفرقتهم اﻹقليمية والفنية بشأن هذه المسألة، عن وجود توافق في الرأي بين اﻷعضاء على أن مسألة سياسية مهمة كمسألة دمج مراكز اﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام مع المكاتب الميدانية لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي ينبغي على اللجنة أن تنظر فيها أولا بعناية قبل قيام الجمعية العامة بالنظر فيها.

It should also be underlined that all training programmes taking place in developing countries and countries in transition, as well as training courses held in Europe in which government officials from developing countries are invited to participate, are organized in close cooperation with UNDP field offices.
وينبغي كذلك التشديد على أن جميع البرامج التدريبية التي يجري تنفيذها في البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر بمرحلة انتقال، وكذلك حلقات التدريب التي تعقد في أوروبا والتي وجهت فيها الدعوة للاشتراك إلى موظفين من البلدان النامية، يجري تنظيمها بالتعاون الوثيق مع المكاتب الميدانية لبرنامج اﻷمم المتحدة اﻹنمائي.
