The United Nations Volunteers (UNV), as the focal point for the International Year of Volunteers in 2001, has been invited to report on the role of volunteering in the promotion of social development and to make proposals thereon to the Preparatory Committee as it considers further initiatives to propose to the General Assembly at the special session.
وقد دعي متطوعو الأمم المتحدة، باعتبارهم مركز تنسيق السنة الدولية للمتطوعين 2001، إلى تقديم تقرير عن دور العمل التطوعي في تعزيز التنمية الاجتماعية وإبداء مقترحات بهذا الشأن إلى اللجنة التحضيرية أثناء نظرها في المبادرات الأخرى التي ستقترحها على الدورة الاستثنائية للجمعية العامة.

14. The Preparatory Committee invites the United Nations Volunteers Programme, the focal point for the International Year of Volunteers, to report on the role of volunteering in the promotion of social development and to make proposals thereon.
١٤ - تدعو اللجنة التحضيرية برنامج متطوعي اﻷمم المتحدة، ومركز التنسيق للسنة الدولية للمتطوعين، إلى تقديم تقرير عن دور التطوع في تعزيز التنمية الاجتماعية وتقديم مقترحات بهذا الشأن.

Pursuant to Council resolution 1988/77 on the revitalization of the Council, the President, prior to the organizational session, and with the cooperation of the other members of the Bureau, will arrange for consultations with members of the Council on the draft programme of work and provisional agenda prepared by the Secretary-General and make proposals thereon for consideration by the Council.
وعملا بقرار المجلس 1988/77 المتعلق بتنشيط المجلس، سيقوم الرئيس قبل الدورة التنظيمية، وبالتعاون مع أعضاء المكتب الآخرين، بترتيب مشاورات مع أعضاء المجلس بشأن مشروع برنامج العمل وجدول الأعمال المؤقت اللذين أعدهما الأمين العام، وإبداء مقترحات بهذا الشأن لكي ينظر فيها المجلس.

In accordance with General Assembly resolution 57/300 dated 20 December 2002, entitled " Strengthening of the United Nations: an agenda for further change " , the management of the libraries is currently under review, and related proposals will be submitted to the Assembly at its fifty-eighth session through the Committee on Information.
ووفقا لقرار الجمعية العامة 57/300 المؤرخ 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2002 المعنون " تعزيز الأمم المتحدة: برنامج لإجراء المزيد من التغييرات " يجري حاليا استعراض إدارة المكتبات وستقدم مقترحات بهذا الشأن إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الثامنة والخمسين، عن طريق لجنة الإعلام.

The CD can play a role in conventional weapons and, as stated before, we are quite ready to engage in discussing proposals to that effect.
وبوسع المؤتمر أن يؤدي دورا في مجال اﻷسلحة التقليدية، وكما ذكر آنفا، نبدي استعدادنا التام للاشتراك في مناقشة مقترحات بهذا الشأن.

States are invited to present proposals in this regard to the Sixth Committee.
وتدعى الدول إلى تقديم مقترحات بهذا الشأن إلى اللجنة السادسة.

142. Emphasizes the need to establish common monitoring, evaluation and reporting mechanisms on the implementation of " Delivering as one " towards greater accountability to Member States and a more results-based generation of " Delivering as one " , and in this regard requests the Secretary-General to come up with proposals for the consideration of Member States;
142 - تشدد على ضرورة إقامة آليات مشتركة للرصد والتقييم والإبلاغ فيما يتعلق بتطبيق نهج " توحيد الأداء " من أجل زيادة الخضوع للمساءلة أمام الدول الأعضاء وتوليد صيغة جديدة لنهج " توحيد الأداء " تنصبّ على النتائج بدرجة أكبر، وتطلب في هذا الصدد إلى الأمين العام أن يقدّم مقترحات بهذا الشأن لتنظر فيها الدول الأعضاء؛

(b) Requested the secretariat to initiate preparations for the next round of surveys and to submit proposals in this regard for the review of the Advisory Committee at its next session.
(ب) أن تطلب إلى الأمانة الشروع في الأعمال التحضيرية للجولة القادمة من الدراسات الاستقصائية وتقديم مقترحات بهذا الشأن لكي تستعرضها اللجنة الاستشارية في دورتها المقبلة.
