10. At the 25th meeting, on 8 November, the Secretary of the Committee drew attention to a note submitted by the Secretariat (A/C.1/54/L.55) concerning the responsibilities entrusted to the Secretary-General under draft resolution A/C.1/54/L.2.

In reply to queries made by the Secretariat, in November 2002 the Minister for Foreign Affairs of El Salvador provided an account of the budgetary and legal provisions taken to guarantee the continuity of the programme, including the allocations made and planned by the Government to the Fund for the Wounded and War-Disabled, in compliance with the political agreement.
