This will reflect recommendations of the Office of Internal Oversight Services concerning improved record keeping for areas such as bid-opening procedures.

60. Ms. Lapointe (Under-Secretary-General for Internal Oversight Services), introducing the report on the activities of the Office of Internal Oversight Services related to peacekeeping operations during the period from 1 January to 31 December 2011 (A/66/286 (Part II)), said that the report provided an overview of the work of the three OIOS Divisions: Internal Audit, Investigations, and Inspection and Evaluation.

Also requests the Secretary-General to present an update on the implementation of the recommendations of the Office of Internal Oversight Services on mission liquidation activities at the United Nations, in particular with regard to write-offs, to the General Assembly at its resumed fifty-sixth session;

He also supported the recommendations of the Office of Internal Oversight Services on the recruitment process, particularly regarding the management of rosters of external candidates (A/55/397, sect. III (C)).
