To obtain the fullest possible picture on progress in the global response since the special session, country reports have been supplemented by information provided by civil society in more than 30 reports, as well as by national and global surveys and by coverage estimates for specific programmatic interventions.
ومن أجل الحصول على أكمل صورة ممكنة للتقدم المحرز في مكافحة الوباء عالميا منذ الدورة الاستثنائية في عام 2001، استكملت التقارير القطرية بمعلومات قدمها المجتمع المدني في ما يربو على 30 تقريرا، فضلا عن دراسات استقصائية وطنية وعالمية وتقديرات للتغطية بالنسبة لتدخلات برنامجية بعينها.

16- وخلاصة القول إن ثمة صعوبات قانونية وعملية لا تزال قائمة حتى وإن كانت معظم الدول قد سنّت قوانين ودخلت في معاهدات ثنائية ومتعددة الأطراف تنص على تسليم مرتكبي جرائم المخدرات، وعدّل كثير من الدول تشريعها منذ الدورة الاستثنائية.

84. The key challenge for the forthcoming period is to build on the momentum generated since the special session, and its five-year commemoration in December 2007, to create a greater sense of urgency in communities and Governments and among international development actors to ensure the achievement of the goals for children.
