We do hope that such a review will be directed towards a more strengthened and coordinated approach by the United Nations system in the implementation of the commitments agreed at the various international conferences, including the World Summit for Social Development.
ويحدونا اﻷمل بأن هذا الاستعراض سيكون موجها نحو اتباع نهج أقوى وأكثر تنسيقا من جانب منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة في مجال تنفيذ الالتزامات المتفق عليها في مختلف المؤتمرات الدولية، بما فيها مؤتمر القمة العالمي للتنمية الاجتماعية.

2. In paragraph 19 of its resolution 54/85 of 6 December 1999, the General Assembly requested the Council to continue to consider, in consultation with the Special Committee, appropriate measures for coordination of the policies and activities of the specialized agencies and other organizations of the United Nations system in implementing relevant resolutions of the General Assembly.

CARICOM supported the observations and recommendations contained in the report of the Secretary-General on activities of the United Nations system in implementing the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (A/68/841) and emphasized that worldwide solidarity was crucial to combating terrorism.

He welcomed the recent review of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy and the efforts of United Nations bodies and other international, regional and subregional organizations to uphold the rights of victims of terrorism, described in the report of the Secretary-General entitled: " United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy: activities of the United Nations system in implementing the Strategy " (A/66/762).

Commends the Economic and Social Council for its debate and resolution on this question, and requests it to continue to consider, in consultation with the Special Committee, appropriate measures for the coordination of the policies and activities of the specialized agencies and other organizations of the United Nations system in implementing the relevant resolutions of the General Assembly;
20 - تثنـي على المجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي للمناقشة التي أجراها والقرار الذي اتخذه بشأن هذه المسألة، وتطلب إليه أن يواصل، بالتشاور مع اللجنة الخاصة، النظر في اتخاذ التدابير المناسبة لتنسيق سياسات وأنشطة الوكالات المتخصصة والمؤسسات الأخرى في منظومة الأمم المتحدة في مجال تنفيذ قرارات الجمعية العامة ذات الصلة؛
