It is to be noted that Mauritius had made a reservation to s. 11 of CRPD when it signed the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, but did not maintain this reservation when it ratified the Convention.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن موريشيوس تحفظت على المادة 11 من اتفاقية حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة عند توقيع الاتفاقية، لكنها سحبت هذا التحفظ عند التصديق عليها.

This is in accordance with Article 12, paragraph 3, of the CRPD.

2. Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NI) expressed disappointment with the two interpretative declarations made to articles 12 and 14 of CRPD, in light of the well-documented excessive use of coercion in the mental health care system.

The Government should amend the relevant clause accordingly, withdraw its reservation to article 25, paragraph (e) of CRPD and ratify OP-CRPD.

Under article 15 of CRPD medical or scientific experimentation on persons with disabilities, including testing of medicines, is permissible only when the person concerned gives his or her free consent and when the very nature of the experiment cannot be deemed torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.

The Special Rapporteur notes that under article 23 (c) of CRPD States parties have an obligation to ensure that " persons with disabilities, including children, retain their fertility on an equal basis with others " and to ensure their right to decide freely and responsibly on the number and spacing of their children (art. 23 (b)).

Specific awareness-raising was also needed among election administrators, as well as revision of legislation to ensure that all persons with disabilities enjoy their right to vote and be elected, in accordance with articles 2 and 29 of the CRPD.

In 2012, the Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Disabled Persons, the German Institute for Human Rights and the Alliance of German Non-governmental Organisations on the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, have focused greater attention on the existing exclusion from suffrage of people made a ward of court, pointing out that is not compatible with Article 5 of the CRPD.

JS recommended that the Government withdraw the reservation on Article 24.2 (b) of the CRPD and provide for inclusive, quality and free primary and secondary education to children with disabilities on an equal basis with other children; and that students with disabilities not be excluded from the general system on the basis of disability.

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities mentions the right to social protection in its article 28.
كما يرد ذكر الحق في الحماية الاجتماعية في المادة 28 من اتفاقية حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة.
