Article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that no one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile.
كما نصت المادة ٩ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان أنه لا يجوز القبض على أي إنسان أو حجزه أو نفيه تعسفا.

Article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights recognizes that everyone has a right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution.
فالمادة ٤١ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان تسلﱢم بأن لكل فرد الحق في التماس ملجأ في بلدان أخرى والتمتع به خلاصاً من الاضطهاد.

Recalling article 14 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which recognizes the right of everyone to seek and enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution,
وإذ تشير إلى المادة ٤١ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان التي تقر بحق كل فرد في التماس ملجأ في بلدان أخرى والتمتع به خلاصا من الاضطهاد،

The Working Group believes that the conviction and sentence meted out to Tri Agus is violative of his right guaranteed under article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
ويرى الفريق العامل أن إدانة تري آغوس والحكم الصادر بحقه أمر ينطوي على انتهاك لحقه المكفول بموجب أحكام المادة ٩١ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان.

ووصف العراق بأنه دولة دكتاتورية مطلقة لا تسمح بأي معارضة سياسية، وأكد أن النظام السياسي يُخِلّ بالتزامات العراق بموجب المادة ١٢ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان الرامية إلى ضمان أن تكون إرادة الشعب الحقيقية هي أساس سلطة الحكم.

The Panel has noted in particular a statement in the Kälin Report that during the invasion and occupation of Kuwait, there were grave violations of the right to life as set out in article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 6 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
وقد لاحظ الفريق بوجه خاص إشارة وردت في تقرير كالين إلى ما حدث أثناء غزو الكويت واحتلاله، من ارتكاب انتهاكات جسيمة للحق في الحياة المنصوص عليه في المادة ٣ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمادة ٦ من العهد الدولي للحقوق المدنية والسياسية.

30. Article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights proclaims, in paragraph 1, that everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives.
٣٠ - تنص المادة ٢١ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان في الفقرة ١ على أن لكل فرد الحق في الاشتراك في إدارة الشؤون العامة لبلاده إما مباشرة أو بواسطة ممثلين يختارون اختيارا حرا.

Recalling article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, both of which provide that no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment,
إذ تشير الى المادة ٥ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمادة ٧ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية اللتين تنصان كلتاهما على عدم جواز إخضاع أحد للتعذيب أو للمعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة ،

45. Reprints of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, in the official languages of the United Nations and in selected local languages, as well as other international human rights instruments continued in 1993.
٤٥- وفي عام ١٩٩٣ استمر اصدار طبعات جديدة من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان بلغات اﻷمم المتحدة الرسمية وبلغات محلية مختارة ومن الصكوك الدولية اﻷخرى المتعلقة بحقوق اﻹنسان.

Their detention was therefore arbitrary since they merely exercised their right to freedom of opinion and expression, guaranteed by article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 19 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
ولذلك فإن احتجازهما تعسفي بالنظر إلى أنهما لم يفعلا سوى ممارسة حقهما في حرية الرأي والتعبير، الذي تكفله المادة ٩١ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمادة ٩١ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية.

The failure to bring charges against them and put them on trial for such a long period constitutes a violation of the rights guaranteed by article 9 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and by principles 11, 12 and 38 of the Body of Principles for the Protection of All Persons under Any Form of Detention or Imprisonment.
إن عدم توجيه تهم إليهم وإحالتهم للمحاكمة طيلة هذه الفترة الطويلة يشكل انتهاكا للحقوق المكفولة بالمادة ٩ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان وبالمبادئ ١١ و٢١ و٨٣ من مجموعة المبادئ المتعلقة بحماية جميع اﻷشخاص الذين يتعرضون ﻷي شكل من أشكال الاحتجاز أو السجن.

The rules of procedure applicable in international courts shall conform to the provisions of articles 8 to 11 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and 9, 14 and 15 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights with regard to the right to a fair hearing.
يجب أن تكون القواعد الاجرائية المأخوذ بها في المحاكم الدولية مطابقة لﻷحكام المنصوص عليها في المواد ٨ إلى ١١ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمواد ٩ و٤١ و٥١ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية فيما يتعلق بحق الفرد في محاكمة عادلة.

When they have done nothing but exercise this legitimate right, as guaranteed by articles 18 to 20 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and 18, 19, 21 and 22 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the law shall consider any judicial or other decision concerning them to be null and void; their detention shall be ended unconditionally and without delay;
فإن اقتصر فعلهم على ممارسة هذا الحق الشرعي على النحو المكرس في المواد ٨١ إلى ٠٢ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمواد ٨١ و٩١ و١٢ و٢٢ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية، وجب اعتبار كل حكم صدر عليهم عن العدالة أو غيره حكما باطلا ولاغيا قانونا، كما وجب الافراج عنهم بدون شرط أو إرجاء.

Having regard to article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 7 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, both of which provide that no one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment,
إذ تراعي المادة ٥ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمادة ٧ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية اللتين تنصان كلتاهما على عدم جواز إخضاع أحد للتعذيب أو للمعاملة أو العقوبة القاسية أو اللاإنسانية أو المهينة،

Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, for its part, states that “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.”
من جهتها، تنص المادة ٥ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان على " ألا يعرض أي إنسان للتعذيب ولا للعقوبات أو المعاملات القاسية أو الوحشية أو المحطة بالكرامة " .

Article 8 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that " everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law " .
٥١١ - إن المادة ٨ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان تنص على أن " لكل شخص حق اللجوء إلى المحاكم الوطنية المختصة ﻹنصافه الفعلي من أية أعمال تنتهك الحقوق اﻷساسية التي يمنحه إياها الدستور أو القانون " .

As concerns the national referendum of 15 October 1995, the Special Rapporteur concluded that the result in no way reflected the genuine will of the people, as required by article 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and article 25 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
أما فيما يتعلق بالاستفتاء القومي الذي أجري في ٥١ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ٥٩٩١، فإن المقرر الخاص قد خلص إلى أن نتيجته لا تعبر على أي نحو عن الارادة الحقيقية للشعب، كما تتطلب ذلك المادة ١٢ من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان والمادة ٥٢ من العهد الدولي الخاص بالحقوق المدنية والسياسية.

12. Finally, the Government finds that the proposed draft protocol is, on the whole, consistent with the provisions of articles 11, 19, 32, 34, 35, 36, 39 and 42 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and with article 25, paragraph 2, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that: " Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance.
٢١ - وأخيرا، ترى الحكومة أن مشروع البروتوكول المقترح يتفق في مجمله مع أحكام المواد ١١ و٩١ و٢٣ و٤٣ و٥٣ و٦٣ و٩٣ و٢٤ من اتفاقية حقوق الطفل ومع المادة ٥٢، الفقرة ٢، من الاعلان العالمي لحقوق اﻹنسان التي جاء فيها أن " لﻷمومة والطفولة الحق في مساعدة ورعاية خاصتين.

II. Cases of deprivation of freedom when the facts giving rise to the prosecution or conviction concern the exercise of the rights and freedoms protected by articles 7, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20 and 21 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and articles 12, 18, 19, 21, 22, 25, 26 and 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; or
