1. Article 6 of the Regulations of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund, as amended by the General Assembly in paragraph 4 of section VII of its resolution 55/224 of 23 December 2000, provides as follows:

3. Welcomes the value engineering exercises that were undertaken in the construction of office facilities of the Economic Commission for Africa, and reiterates its request to the Secretary-General contained in paragraph 3 of section VII of its resolution 66/247;
3 - ترحب بأعمال هندسة القيمة التي نُفذت في إطار تشييد مرافق المكاتب التابعة للجنة الاقتصادية لأفريقيا، وتكرر طلبها إلى الأمين العام بمضمونه الوارد في الفقرة 3 من الجزء السابع من قرارها 66/247؛

This would lead to a change in the governance structure of the Fund, contrary to paragraph 12 of section VII of General Assembly resolution 68/247 A, and it is not hard to imagine the conflicts of interest this will create.
وسيؤدي ذلك إلى تغيير في الهيكل الإداري للصندوق، خلافا لما ورد في الفقرة 12 من الجزء السابع من قرار الجمعية العامة 68/247 ألف، وليس من الصعب أن يتخيل المرء أشكال تضارب المصالح التي ستنشأ عن هذا الوضع.

5. Recalls paragraph 5 of section VII of resolution 66/247 and paragraph 14 of the report of the Advisory Committee, and in this regard requests the Secretary-General to pursue his efforts and bring this matter to a swift conclusion, and to provide an update in his next progress report;
