1. In its resolution 62/228 of 22 December 2007 on the administration of justice at the United Nations, the General Assembly decided to establish as from 1 January 2009 a two-tier formal system of administration of justice, comprising a United Nations Dispute Tribunal, composed initially of three full-time judges and two halftime judges, and a United Nations Appeals Tribunal, composed of seven judges.
1 - قررت الجمعية العامة، في قرارها 62/228 المؤرخ 22 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2007 والمتعلق بإقامة العدل في الأمم المتحدة، أن تنشئ، اعتبارا من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2009، نظاما رسميا لإقامة العدل ذا مستويين، يضم محكمة ابتدائية للمنازعات تابعة للأمم المتحدة، تتألف بصفة مبدئية من ثلاثة قضاة متفرغين وقاضيين يعملان بدوام نصفي، ومحكمة للاستئناف تابعة للأمم المتحدة، تتألف من سبعة قضاة.

(a) It is recommended that article 4.1 of the statute of the Dispute Tribunal be amended to read as follows (new text in bold): " The Dispute Tribunal shall be composed of three full-time judges and two half-time judges who shall have the status of officials other than Secretariat officials under article V, section 18, of the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the United Nations " ;
(أ) يوصى بتعديل المادة 4-1 من النظام الأساسي لمحكمة المنازعات بحيث تصبح على النحو التالي (النص الجديد مبين بحروف داكنة): " تتألف محكمة المنازعات من ثلاثة قضاة متفرغين وقاضيين يعملان لنصف الوقت، ويكون لهم المركز القانوني للمسؤولين من غير موظفي الأمانة العامة في إطار المادة الخامسة، البند 18، من امتيازات الأمم المتحدة وحصاناتها " ؛
