Reaffirming the role of the General Assembly in accordance with Article 17 of the Charter of the United Nations,
إذ تؤكد من جديد دور الجمعية العامة وفقا للمادة ١٧ من ميثاق اﻷمم المتحدة،

Reaffirming the role of the General Assembly and its relevant intergovernmental and expert bodies, within their respective mandates, in planning, programming, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation,
وإذ تؤكد من جديد دور الجمعية العامة والهيئات الحكومية الدولية وهيئات الخبراء ذات الصلة، كل في مجال ولايته فيما يتعلق بالتخطيط والبرمجة والميزنة والرصد والتقييم،

For that reason, it is expedient, in our view, that we revive the role of the General Assembly as the supreme political body that addresses major international issues.
ولهذا السبب فإن من الملائم في رأينا أن نبعث من جديد دور الجمعية العامة بوصفها الهيئة السياسية العليا التي تتصدى للمسائل الدولية الكبرى.

9. Reaffirms the role of the General Assembly in relation to the opening of new United Nations information centres and invites the Secretary-General, as well, to make such recommendations as he may judge necessary regarding the establishment and location of these centres;
٩ - تؤكد من جديد دور الجمعية العامة فيما يتعلق بفتح مراكز جديدة لﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام، وتدعو اﻷمين العام أيضا إلى تقديم التوصيات التي قد يراها ضرورية فيما يتصل بإقامة هذه المراكز وتحديد مواقعها؛

2. Reaffirms the role of the General Assembly in encouraging the progressive development of international law and its codification, and reaffirms further that States shall abide by all their obligations under international law;
2 - تؤكد من جديد دور الجمعية العامة في تشجيع التطوير التدريجي للقانون الدولي وتدوينه، وتؤكد من جديد كذلك أن على الدول أن تتقيد بجميع التزاماتها بموجب القانون الدولي؛

With regard to draft resolution A/C.5/53/L.78, she reaffirmed the role of the General Assembly and the need for the Committee on Contributions to consider such matters in accordance with established procedure.
وفيما يتعلق بمشروع القرار A/C.5/53/L.78، أكدت من جديد دور الجمعية العامة وضرورة أن تنظر لجنة الاشتراكات في هذه المسائل وفقا لﻹجراء المعمول به.

١٦ - تؤكد من جديد دور الجمعية العامة فيما يتعلق بفتح مراكز جديدة لﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام وتدعو اﻷمين العام إلى تقديم التوصيات التي قد يراها ضرورية فيما يتصل بإقامة مراكز جديدة لﻷمم المتحدة لﻹعلام وتحديد مواقعها؛
