11. In its decision 1995/226 of 1 June 1995, the Council decided, upon the recommendation of the Commission on Sustainable Development, to approve the establishment of an open-ended ad hoc intergovernmental panel on forests.
١١ - في المقرر ١٩٩٥/٢٢٦ المؤرخ ١ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٥ وبناء على توصية من لجنة التنمية المستدامة قرر المجلس الموافقة على إنشاء فريق حكومي دولي مخصص مفتوح باب العضوية يُعنى باﻷحراج.

541. The Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Panel on Forests was established in 1995 in response to a request from the Commission on Sustainable Development.
٥٤١ - أنشئ الفريق الحكومي الدولي المخصص للغابات في عام ١٩٩٥ استجابة لطلب من لجنة التنمية المستدامة.

2. At its 2nd meeting, on 20 September 2013, the Commission considered item 3 of its agenda, entitled " Lessons learned from the Commission on Sustainable Development, and the way forward " , and held a high-level dialogue.

They outlined some of the lessons learned from the Commission on Sustainable Development at the global, regional and national levels, including the need for an effective regional platform and enhancing regional engagement, as well as the importance of interregional dialogue.

7. The lessons learned from the Commission on Sustainable Development should be the starting point for giving shape and content to the high-level political forum.

301. Within the framework of the ECA work programme and activities in support of AMCEN, the support of the Commission on Sustainable Development is required in the area of capacity-building (within the context of Agenda 21) at the national, subregional and regional levels.
