وينبغي أن يشكِّل مزجها بين الالتزامات بعدم استخدام الألغام الأرضية وتدمير مخزوناتها وإزالتها ومساعدة ضحاياها، ونموذجها للتعاون بين الدول والمنظمات الدولية والمجتمع المدني، مصدر إلهام للجهود الرامية إلى كفالة أن يتمخض البروتوكول بشأن المتفجرات من مخلّفات الحرب عن الآثار المنشودة.
