The Committee expresses concern that insufficient effort has been made in many of the Territories to prevent discrimination against teenage mothers and children born out of wedlock.

Many of these Territories also participate in other regional institutions.
ويشترك العديد من هذه اﻷقاليم أيضا في مؤسسات إقليمية أخرى.

The people of every one of these Territories are every bit as entitled to the right to self-determination as have been all colonial peoples throughout the period of decolonization.
وشعب كل إقليم من هذه اﻷقاليم يحق له أن يتمتع بحق تقرير المصير تماما مثلما كان ذلك حقا لكل الشعوب المستعمرة طوال فتـرة إنهــاء الاستعمــار.

The United Kingdom and its Caribbean Non-Self-Governing Territories solicited an independent review which produced recommendations for each of the Territories.

Mr. WIRAJUDA (Indonesia) said that, despite the remarkable success achieved in the field of decolonization, the question of the remaining Non-Self-Governing Territories must not be overlooked. Many of those Territories were small islands with their own characteristics and problems.
٣٢ - السيد فيرايودا )اندونيسيا(: قال إنه على الرغم من الانجازات الهامة التي تحققت في مجال إنهاء الاستعمار، لا ينبغي إقصاء مسألة اﻷقاليم غير المتمتعة بالحكم الذاتي عن النظر، فكثير من هذه اﻷقاليم جزر غير كبيرة، لها سماتها الذاتية ومشاكلها.

The UNICEF Caribbean Area Office covers three such Territories: Montserrat, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and the British Virgin Islands.
