Also recognizes that the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific has comparative strengths and advantages in certain technical cooperation activities in the Asian and Pacific region and requests the Executive Secretary, in carrying out its technical cooperation activities, to continue to attach high priority to the following areas:

3. The Ministers reaffirmed the unique role of UNCTAD, as the focal point at the global level for the monitoring, follow-up and review of the implementation of the Programme of Action and called upon UNCTAD to continue to give high priority to issues pertaining to LDCs.
٣- وقد أكد الوزراء من جديد الدور الفريد الذي يؤديه اﻷونكتاد، بوصفه صلة الوصل على المستوى العالمي ﻷغراض رصد ومتابعة واستعراض تنفيذ برنامج العمل، ودعوا اﻷونكتاد إلى مواصلة إيلاء أولوية عالية للمسائل المتصلة بأقل البلدان نمواً.

3. The Ministers reaffirmed the unique role of UNCTAD, as the focal point at the global level for the monitoring, follow-up and review of the implementation of the Programme of Action for the Least Developed Countries for the 1990s and called upon UNCTAD to continue to give high priority to issues pertaining to LDCs.
٣- وقد أكد الوزراء من جديد الدور الفريد الذي يؤديه اﻷونكتاد، بوصفه صلة الوصل على المستوى العالمي ﻷغراض رصد ومتابعة واستعراض تنفيذ برنامج العمل للتسعينات لصالح أقل البلدان نمواً، ودعوا اﻷونكتاد إلى مواصلة إيلاء أولوية عالية للمسائل المتصلة بأقل البلدان نمواً.

٨ - تحث اﻷمين العام على مواصلة إيلاء أولوية عالية للطلبات المقدمة من الدول اﻷعضاء للحصول على المساعدة في إنشاء وتعزيز المؤسسات الوطنية لحقوق اﻹنسان كجزء من برنامج الخدمات الاستشارية والمساعدة الفنية في ميدان حقوق اﻹنسان؛

13. Invites the Secretary-General to continue to give high priority to the dissemination of the text of the Declaration, in all the official languages of the United Nations, and to take all appropriate measures to make the text available for use by United Nations information centres, as well as by other interested bodies;

4. Requests the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime to continue to give high priority to the implementation of an integrated approach through the promotion of its regional and thematic programmes, including by assisting States, as requested, with the further elaboration and development of national, subregional and regional counter-terrorism strategies;
4- تطلب إلى مكتب الأمم المتحدة المعني بالمخدرات والجريمة مواصلة إيلاء أولوية عالية لتنفيذ نهج متكامل من خلال تعزيز برامجه الإقليمية والمواضيعية، بما في ذلك مساعدة الدول، بناءً على طلبها، في المضي قُدماً في بلورة وتطوير استراتيجيات مكافحة الإرهاب الوطنية ودون الإقليمية والإقليمية؛

(q) Encourage Member States to continue to attach high priority to strengthening the rule of law through the prevention of crime and the promotion of fair, humane and accountable criminal justice systems;
